Assignment Information

Name of Assignment: Animated Illustration Collection Exercise

Class: Illustration

Program: Pinterest

Due Date: 11/18/2020

Date Posted: 11/18/2020

Assignment Description: We were tasked with finding as many animated illustrations as we could find, and needed to store them in a collection folder with a site like Pinterest. The folder needed to be public so viewers do not need an account to see what we found.

Animated Illustration Collection

Over the past couple days, I collected about two hundred animated images of all sorts of media and subjects. The animations range from a few simple looped frames to complex scenes. I am currently storing this collection on Pinterest, but here are a few of my favorites from my collection.

A forest by Laura Paulussen.
Making of “Fears” by Nata Metlukh.
Jelly Fish Rising by Alyssa Scott.
Time and Time Again by Emory Allen.
This was Our Pact by Ryan Andrews.

One thing I noticed about animated illustrations is that if a person is not portrayed in a piece, an object or animal will be personified if they are animated. This happens if a person portrayed has a relationship or interaction with the object or animal as well.

The rest of my collection can be found here: https://www.pinterest.com/julelwood/animated-illustrations/

I will probably add more pieces to it in the future, as it was very fun to collect a proper resource guide for the following project we have to complete.
